Position: Butchery Production Manager
Location: Ndola, Copperbelt, Zambia
Employment Type: Full-Time

Gramus Express Limited is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and dynamic Butchery Production Manager to oversee processing and retail butchery operations in Ndola.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage meat processing facilities, abattoir operations, cold storage, and daily retail meat cuts.
• Oversee carcass breakdown, deboning, portioning, sausage making, mincing, packaging, and display presentation.
• Enforce stringent food safety, HACCP, hygiene standards, cold-chain maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise butchery staff, blockmen, and meat packers, ensuring high productivity and customer care.
• Monitor production yields, minimize meat wastage, manage inventory turnover, and control processing costs.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Meat Science, Food Science, Animal Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of practical experience in meat processing or large-scale retail butchery operations.
• At least two (2) years of demonstrated supervisory or management experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of professional meat cutting, hygiene protocols, food safety regulations, and production workflow management.
• Strong team leadership, customer focus, and problem-solving skills.
