A reputable manufacturing company based in Lusaka, Zambia, is seeking skilled, certified, and safety-conscious Forklift Operators to handle materials, paper reels, and pallets in the factory and warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (counterbalance/reach) to offload paper reels, raw materials, and load finished goods pallets onto trucks.
- Stack, unstack, and transfer materials between storage yards, production floor, and dispatch bays.
- Perform daily pre-operational equipment checks (hydraulic fluid, battery/fuel, tyre pressure, brakes, forks).
- Adhere to warehouse stacking height limits, aisle markings, and plant speed limits to prevent damage and accidents.
- Keep warehouse storage areas organized and clean.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
- Valid certified Forklift Operator Certificate / Licence.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant forklift operating experience in an industrial or warehouse setting.
- Past experience in the corrugated carton industry handling paper reels will be an added advantage.
- Strong awareness of warehouse safety rules and precise machine control.
