Job Overview
Our client in the telecommunications and infrastrasture solutions is seeking a diligent and organized Storeman to manage all technical inventory and spare parts on site. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking stock, ensuring the availability of critical spares to support maintenance activities and lifecycle replacements while maintaining accurate inventory records and effective stock control systems.
LOCATION: CHIRUNDU
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, record, and store technical inventory, equipment, and spare parts.
- Issue stock and materials to maintenance personnel in accordance with approved procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock control systems.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure the availability of critical spares and consumables.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with stock records.
- Assist in forecasting inventory requirements for maintenance and replacement programmes.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of inventory items.
- Prepare inventory reports and maintain supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with suppliers and procurement personnel regarding stock replenishment.
Skills and Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Inventory Control or any other related field.
- At least 1-3 years’ experience managing technical or engineering stores
- Strong inventory management and record-keeping skills.
- Knowledge of stock control procedures and inventory management systems.
- Good organizational and planning abilities.
