Role Overview:
Choppies Supermarkets is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and computer-literate Data Entry Clerk to join our administrative and inventory records team at the Makeni Bonaventure branch in Lusaka. The primary goal is to provide efficient, high-quality customer retention and support services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry: Accurately enter and update store information, inventories, and sales figures into internal databases, spreadsheets, or ERP/CRM systems.
- Verification: Review, validate, and verify entries for maximum accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Record Maintenance: Organize and maintain both digital and physical file archives systematically.
- Reconciliation: Match invoices, purchase orders, delivery notes, and shipment logs to ensure data integrity.
- Reporting: Generate routine retail reports highlighting missing records, exceptions, variances, or throughput metrics.
- Confidentiality: Strictly adhere to company data privacy and information security protocols.
Education & Experience:
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Computer certificate or Diploma in Computer Studies.
- Diploma in Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) is an added advantage.
- 1–2 years of experience in data management, data entry, or clerical administration.
- Basic knowledge in retail data analysis and inventory systems.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical fitness and candidate should be medically fit.
Skills, Abilities & Requirements:
- Basic mathematics and numerical accuracy.
- High proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel .
- High level of honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness.
- Age requirement — usually 18+ in Zambia.
- Physical Exam Required: Medical Report & Police Clearance.
