Job Title: Territory Manager

Reports to National Sales Manager

Location: Lusaka-Zambia

 

About the position

In the Upfield Retail business, we have two distribution channels. General Trade and Modern Trade. General Trade sales through number of territories in the country serviced by appointed distributors based on the demarcated territories. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the prime responsibility of the Territory Sales manager is to clearly understand customer needs and goals and provide solutions to meet those needs.

Your primary focus will be to reach, retain and expand the company’s customer base to ensure sustainable business growth by developing accurate sales strategies to ensure the achievement of your region’s objectives and goals.

  So, what does it take to be successful in this role?

  • You are an outstanding salesperson; an excellent communicator who understands customer needs and solves them.
  • You have worked in a similar role for the past 3 to 4 years in the FMCG industry and demonstrated relentless result-oriented focus and innovative approach to consistently increasing sales revenues.
  • You are very proactive and have a very structured way of sales planning and execution, you have strong negotiations skills, by maintaining customer relationships with our Key Distributors, Sub Distributors, their teams and their customers.
  • You have demonstrated your working experience with both Modern and General Trade and already enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • A fully paid-up member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing.
