Job Purpose
The Sales Representative will responsible for generating leads and providing appropriate solutions for customers to boost customer acquisition levels. Analyze market potential and track sales apart from working towards profitability goals. Work with the Sales Manager to make sales presentations, product lunches and brand activation activities, as well as negotiating contracts with potential clients.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiating all contracts with prospective clients.
- Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
- Preparing weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients.
- Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs.
- Understanding and promoting company programs.
- Obtaining deposits and balance of payment from clients.
- Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders.
- Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
- Monitor competition by gathering information on pricing/products/trends in the market
- Resolve customer complaints and provide solutions via team effort
- Keep up to date with the best practices and trends in the industry
- Work closely with the Sales Manager to coordinate sales efforts with marketing and company programs
- Preparing and giving sales presentations to prospective clients
- Take the lead in negotiating contracts with clients
- Manage month-end closing processes
- Build strong customer relationships to ensure they are satisfied and long-lasting customers
- Receive feedback and work on it to resolve issues
- Answering client questions about credit terms, products, prices, and availability.

Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Sales and Marketing or Business Administration
- Must have a minimum of 3+ years work experience in sales and marketing
- Must have worked in the Lusaka in Sales for 1-2 years with a good network
- Good understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
- Must have sales experience in FMCGs or Food manufacturing sector
- A commitment to excellent customer service.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including word, excel, and outlook.
- Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a member of ZIM
