Job Purpose
The Media Account Executive will be responsible for supporting the development, planning, coordination and execution of integrated media campaigns across offline and digital channels.
The role requires a dynamic and highly organised individual who can combine media planning, client servicing, project management and creative coordination. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, including Creative, Digital and Account Management, while also managing relationships with external media partners such as radio stations, television stations, out-of-home media suppliers and other third-party vendors.
The Media Account Executive will play an important role in ensuring that client media budgets are strategically allocated, campaigns are efficiently executed, and all media activities are aligned to client objectives and deliver measurable value and return on investment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Media Strategy & Planning
• Assist in the development of effective offline media strategies across channels including:
◦ Radio
◦ Television
◦ Out-of-Home (OOH)
◦ Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH)
◦ Print
◦ Activations and other relevant media platforms.
• Work closely with the Digital Media Manager to develop integrated and consolidated media strategies that combine offline and digital media channels.
• Analyse client objectives, target audiences, budgets and campaign requirements in order to recommend appropriate media solutions.
• Develop media plans, schedules, media allocations and budget breakdowns.
• Ensure media recommendations are strategically aligned with client objectives and designed to maximise the impact and return on investment of client budgets.
• Assist in monitoring campaign performance and provide recommendations for optimisation where necessary.
2. Media Buying & Vendor Management
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with third-party media suppliers and vendors.
• Coordinate with:
◦ Radio stations
◦ Television stations
◦ Out-of-Home media suppliers
◦ Print and publishing partners
◦ Media production suppliers
◦ Other relevant media and advertising partners.
• Request, evaluate and compare media proposals, rates, packages and opportunities.
• Assist in negotiating competitive media rates and value-added opportunities on behalf of clients and the agency.
• Coordinate media bookings, confirmations, schedules and campaign implementation.
• Ensure all media suppliers deliver according to agreed timelines, specifications and campaign requirements.
• Monitor media placements and follow up on proof of flighting, reports and other required campaign documentation.
3. Client Servicing & Relationship Management
• Act as a key point of contact between the agency and assigned clients.
• Attend client meetings and confidently present media strategies, plans, recommendations and campaign updates.
• Listen attentively to client needs, objectives, challenges and feedback.
• Translate client requirements into clear internal briefs and actionable deliverables.
• Provide relevant recommendations and suggestions on how the agency’s media, creative and communication solutions can address client needs.
• Manage client feedback and ensure it is accurately communicated to the relevant internal teams.
• Maintain strong, professional and productive relationships with clients.
• Ensure timely communication and follow-up on client requests and campaign requirements.
4. Internal Team Coordination
The Media Account Executive will serve as an important link between the Client, Media Team, Creative Team and Digital Team.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Briefing internal creative teams on client requirements.
• Ensuring media and creative deliverables are aligned with campaign objectives.
• Coordinating timelines between media bookings, creative production and campaign launch dates.
• Working closely with the Digital Media Manager to ensure offline and digital media strategies work together as one integrated campaign.
• Following up on outstanding deliverables and ensuring all teams remain aligned on deadlines and priorities.
• Facilitating clear communication between internal departments.
5. Project Management
• Manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously.
• Develop and maintain project timelines, trackers and campaign schedules.
• Monitor progress against agreed deliverables and deadlines.
• Identify potential delays, challenges or risks and escalate them to the relevant manager where necessary.
• Coordinate campaign implementation from briefing through to execution and reporting.
• Ensure all stakeholders understand their responsibilities, timelines and deliverables.
• Maintain accurate campaign documentation, budgets, media plans and status reports.
6. Reporting & Administration
• Prepare professional client presentations, media plans, reports and campaign updates.
• Develop and maintain detailed Excel spreadsheets for:
◦ Media budgets
◦ Cost calculations
◦ Data organisation
◦ Media schedules
◦ Vendor quotations
◦ Campaign trackers and reports.
• Prepare professional PowerPoint presentations for internal and client meetings.
• Prepare reports, proposals and other professional documentation using Microsoft Word.
• Assist with campaign reporting, including media delivery, campaign performance and budget utilisation.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate, properly organised and submitted within agreed timelines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in:

◦ Or another related discipline.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Previous experience in advertising, media, marketing, communications or client servicing will be an added advantage.
• Experience working with media suppliers such as radio, television, print or Out-of-Home media providers will be an advantage.
• Experience in client servicing, account management or project coordination will be an added advantage.
• A good understanding of both traditional and digital media environments will be highly desirable.

ROLE SUMMARY
The Media Account Executive is a hybrid agency role that sits at the intersection of Media, Client Service, Creative Coordination and Project Management.
The successful candidate must be equally comfortable working with an Excel media budget, presenting a media strategy to a client, coordinating a creative brief with the agency team, engaging with a radio, television or Out-of-Home supplier, and following up on campaign deliverables.
This role is ideal for someone who is organised, confident, commercially aware and passionate about advertising and media, with the ability to connect strategy, execution and client service.
