Overview
Job Description
- Preparation of weekly product specific revenue and expense reports
- Preparation of Margin and Profitability Reports by Product
- Review periodic operational expenses by department and cost centre
- Analyse the operational efficiencies of the various business units
- Track the various key expenses esp. labour, raw material, packaging procurements
- Prepare business unit specific budgets and profitability forecasts
- Prepare historical trend analyses to guide decision making
- Assist with product pricing decisions
- Review product performance against market trends
- Collaborate with Production Managers to achieve overall efficiencies
- Assist with negotiating terms and costs for production inputs
- Assist with initiatives to reduce operational costs
- Any other duties as may be assigned
Key Attributes
- Minimum 3 years work experience in accounting
- Qualified Accountant
- Auditing experience is an added advantage
- Experience working for Agri-processing an added advantage
- Good working knowledge with Microsoft Excel and any accounting package
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Excellent Analytical skills
- Good negotiation skills
