The Administration Department supports the efficient and safe operation of ZCCM-IH offices through the coordination of transport, fleet management, facilities, logistics, office services, and administrative controls. The Department enables directorates and provincial offices to carry out their mandates effectively through reliable support services, responsible use of Company resources, and timely operational coordination.
Job Purpose:
To provide safe, reliable, and timely driving services for Head Office assignments and assist with essential fleet records, vehicle service trackers, and maintenance records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport employees, executives, authorised visitors, documents, and materials safely and punctually to approved destinations.
- Support airport transfers, meetings, local errands, field assignments, and vehicle movements for servicing or statutory inspection.
- Plan routes, confirm assignment details, and maintain professional communication with passengers and the Administration team.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and promptly report defects, incidents, or unusual vehicle performance.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, trip logs, mileage, and fuel consumption records.
- Assist in updating vehicle service and maintenance records trackers, flagging due services, repairs, and outstanding maintenance actions.
- Support basic monitoring of vehicle availability, fuel usage, and approved vehicle movements.
- Keep assigned vehicles, keys, and documents secure, comply with company procedures, and perform any other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of a Grade 12 Certificate .
- A Certificate in Logistics is an added advantage.
- A valid Zambian driving licence, Class C1 or above , without an automatic-transmission-only restriction, is mandatory .
- Sound practical knowledge of basic automotive mechanics and vehicle troubleshooting.
- Defensive-driving training and basic computer literacy are added advantages.
- Clean driving record, high integrity, reliability, and sober habits.
