Job Purpose
The Sales and marketing Intern will support the sales and marketing team in promoting the company’s products and services, identifying potential customers, generating leads, and assisting with customer relationship management. The successful candidate should be energetic, confident, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a target-driven environment across the Copperbelt.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the sales team in identifying and contacting potential customers.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities within the Copperbelt.
- Visit customers, businesses, shops, institutions, and potential clients as required.
- Support the preparation and delivery of product presentations to prospective customers.
- Make follow-up calls and maintain regular communication with existing and potential clients.
- Assist in generating sales leads and converting leads into customers.
- Maintain accurate records of customer information, sales activities, and follow-ups.
- Assist with preparing quotations, sales reports, and other sales documentation.
- Support promotional activities, exhibitions, and marketing campaigns.
- Monitor competitor activities and provide feedback to the sales team.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Work towards achieving assigned sales targets and KPIs.
- Perform any other sales-related duties assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 Certificate is required.
- Diploma or certificate in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is an added advantage.
- 3–6 months of sales experience, internship, attachment, or field-sales experience.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident and persuasive personality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Must be willing to travel within the Copperbelt when required.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.

The successful candidate should be willing to conduct sales activities across major Copperbelt towns, including Kitwe, Ndola, Chingola, Mufulira, Luanshya, Kalulushi, Chililabombwe, and Chambishi, depending on business requirements.
