Role Overview

Farmers Africa Zambia Ltd is hiring an experienced and diligent Machine Operator (1 Position) to operate, monitor, and maintain production and processing equipment at our factory facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor industrial production machinery in accordance with operating procedures and safety standards.
• Perform pre-operational checks and calibrate machine settings to meet production specifications.
• Ensure efficient throughput, packaging, and quality output with minimal product waste and downtime.
• Conduct routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Identify and report machine malfunctions, unusual noises, or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
• Maintain daily production and machine maintenance logs.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Grade 12 Certificate or vocational training certificate.
• Proven relevant experience operating machinery in a manufacturing, processing, or packaging environment.
• Good understanding of machine safety protocols, operating guidelines, and basic maintenance.
• Physically fit with the ability to stand and lift materials during shift operations.
• Reliable, alert, punctual, and attentive to detail.
