JOB DETAILS:

We are seeking an ambitious, control-minded Finance Manager with at least 4 years of experience in practice (public accounting / audit) to lead our finance function.

In this role, you will oversee a dedicated finance operational team, design and enforce bulletproof internal controls, and establish end-to-end reconciliation workflows between our payroll, client invoicing, and bank accounts. You will be responsible for ensuring that every dollar processed through our invoicing and payroll system is accurately billed, collected, and accounted for, while driving monthly management reporting and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Team Oversight

  • Manage, mentor, and supervise the team.
  • Establish clear key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational workflows for payroll turnaround, invoicing accuracy, and reconciliation deadlines.
  • Enforce strict segregation of duties to establish internal controls.

2. Financial Controls & Reconciliations

  • Establish and monitor a Payroll-to-Invoicing Clearing Account framework to ensure 100% of gross payroll, employer taxes, benefits, and service fees are billed out and reconciled to zero monthly.
  • Review and sign off on all routine reconciliations prepared:
    • Daily/weekly bank reconciliations across multi-currency accounts.
    • Accounts Receivable aging and client payment matching.
    • Payroll summary reports vs. bank disbursement files.
    • Statutory tax and pension liability clearing accounts.
  • Implement dual-authorization controls for client invoicing, vendor payments, and client payout releases.

3. Payroll & Billing Governance

  • Serve as the final escalation point for complex gross-to-net calculations, tax withholdings, and billing queries.
  • Authorize final client invoice packages and approve outgoing bank payment files for payroll execution.
  • Ensure database administrators and non-finance roles have zero operational access to financial general ledgers or bank release tools.

4. Financial Reporting, Tax & Audit Management

  • Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, P&L statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Utilize public practice audit experience to establish an audit-ready environment, managing external audit relationships and tax compliance across all operating companies.
  • Monitor working capital and manage foreign exchange (FX) exposure.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

Must-Have Requirements

  • Practice Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in public practice (accounting firm, audit, or advisory background).
  • Team Management
  • Reconciliation Expertise: Advanced skills in designing control frameworks, balance sheet reconciliations, and complex clearing account models.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Experience in Employer of Record (EOR), umbrella companies, recruitment agency finance, or high-volume service billing environments.
  • Deep knowledge of multi-currency accounting, international statutory compliance, and payroll taxation.
  • Professional Qualification
  • High attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a zero-tolerance approach to un-reconciled variances.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Zero un-reconciled balance variances in the monthly Payroll Clearing Account.
  • 100% on-time completion of monthly management accounts and bank reconciliations.
  • Zero compliance penalties or late filings across client payrolls and statutory tax bodies.
  • Maintenance of strict access controls and operational segregation of duties across all financial systems.

What We Offer

  • Flexible working arrangement.
  • Comprehensive health benefits.
  • High-growth environment.
