Position: Mechanics (Heavy Commercial & Fleet)
Location: Kitwe, Copperbelt, Zambia
Employment Type: Full-Time

A reputable logistics company in Kitwe is seeking skilled and proactive Mechanics to handle fleet maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy commercial trucks and earthmoving plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and mechanical repairs on heavy haulage trucks, trailers, and plant machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic techniques.
• Overhaul and repair engines, transmissions, differentials, braking systems, and suspensions.
• Respond to emergency roadside breakdowns and conduct rapid on-site repairs.
• Maintain clean, safe workshop conditions and complete job cards accurately.

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12 Certificate.
• Craft Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Mechanics / Heavy Duty Mechanics (TEVETA-recognized).
• Proven hands-on experience maintaining heavy commercial trucks (e.g., Shacman, Howo, Scania, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz).
• Reliable, disciplined, and willing to work in Kitwe.
