Position: Truck-Mounted Crane Operator (x1)

Applications are invited from qualified, experienced, and safety-oriented candidates for the position of Truck-Mounted Crane Operator (x1) for operations in Chambishi, Copperbelt Province, Zambia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate truck-mounted crane equipment (hiab) for lifting, rigging, loading, and moving materials on site.
• Conduct daily pre-operational vehicle and crane safety checks, inspecting hydraulic systems, outriggers, cables, and lifting gear.
• Determine safe load limits and calculate lifting capacities in accordance with load charts.
• Coordinate closely with riggers and site safety personnel to ensure secure rigging and hazard-free lifting operations.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness, perform basic operational maintenance, and report any mechanical or hydraulic defects.
• Comply strictly with mining/construction safety standards and company operational procedures.

Requirements:

• Valid certified Truck-Mounted Crane Operator Certificate / Licence.
• Valid Zambian Driver’s Licence appropriate for heavy vehicles (Class CE / C).
• Proven practical experience operating truck-mounted cranes on industrial, mining, or construction sites.
• Sound understanding of rigging, signaling, slinging techniques, and load capacities.
• Strong commitment to occupational health, safety, and equipment integrity.
• Good communication skills and teamwork mindset.
