Malu Capital , a growing non-bank financial institution committed to empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises across Zambia, is looking for a dynamic, competent, and experienced Human Resource Officer to join our team in Lusaka.

Position: Human Resource Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing end-to-end HR functions, including talent acquisition, onboarding, staff induction, and employee retention strategies.
• Driving staff performance management systems, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reviews, and employee appraisals.
• Fostering positive employee relations, resolving workplace grievances, and administering staff welfare programmes.
• Drafting, updating, and enforcing institutional human resource policies, employee handbooks, and code of conduct.
• Ensuring full compliance with Zambian Labour Laws, Industrial and Labour Relations Act, and Employment Code Act.
• Managing employee personnel files, leave administration, attendance tracking, and HR data systems.
• Identifying training needs, organizing capacity-building programmes, and supporting staff career development.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
• 1 – 3 years’ relevant experience in human resource management (experience in financial services or microfinance is an added advantage).
• Valid membership with the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) with a current practicing licence.
• Solid understanding of Zambian labour legislation and modern HR best practices.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, report writing, and organizational skills.
