CONTRACT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

JOB DESCRIPTION

To oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review project plans to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers, subcontractors, and site staff.
• Monitor project progress, prepare internal and external reports, and manage risks.
• Ensure all on-site activities comply with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Must hold a valid practicing certificate and current membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ). (Proof required).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction, energy, or infrastructure sector.
• PMP or equivalent certification is an added advantage.
• Detailed, signed CV, certified copies of academic certificates, EIZ registration certificate and practicing license, and copy of NRC/Passport must be attached.

JOB DESCRIPTION

To manage day-to-day site operations, supervise technical teams, and ensure electrical installations are executed according to design specifications and safety standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee daily site activities, ensuring work progresses according to schedule.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications for site teams.
• Conduct quality assurance inspections and resolve on-site technical faults.
• Manage site resources, materials, and equipment efficiently.
• Prepare daily site reports and escalate critical issues to the Project Manager.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Must hold a current, valid EIZ membership. (Proof required).
• Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in site supervision and electrical system installations.
• A valid Certificate of Competency is an added advantage.
• Detailed, signed CV, certified copies of academic certificates, EIZ membership certificate, and copy of NRC/Passport must be attached.

JOB DESCRIPTION

To install, maintain, test, and repair electrical systems and equipment, ensuring all work complies with Zambian electrical codes and safety regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install wiring, lighting, control systems, and electrical panels.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis.
• Repair or replace defective electrical components and equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards at all times.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Advanced Certificate or Crafts Certificate in Electrical Engineering from a TEVETA-accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
• A valid Certificate of Competency (where applicable) is required.
• Detailed, signed CV, certified copies of academic and trade certificates, copy of NRC/Passport, and Certificate of Competency (if held) must be attached.

JOB DESCRIPTION

To construct, maintain, and repair overhead power lines and underground cables, ensuring the reliability and safety of electricity distribution networks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Erect and maintain poles, towers, and line hardware.
• Joint and terminate low and medium-voltage underground cables.
• Perform live-line and dead-line maintenance on overhead conductors.
• Diagnose and repair faults on distribution networks.
• Strictly adhere to safety procedures, including working at heights and using personal protective equipment (PPE).

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Crafts Certificate in Lines or Cable Jointing from a TEVETA-accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in power line construction, maintenance, or cable jointing.
• Must be physically fit and capable of working at heights in varying weather conditions.
• A valid Certificate of Competency (Linesman/Cable Jointer) is highly preferred.
• Detailed, signed CV, certified copies of academic and trade certificates, copy of NRC/Passport, and Certificate of Competency (if held) must be attached.
