JOB DETAILS:
The Radiation Protection Authority is a regulatory body under the Ministry of Technology and Science. The Authority was established by the Ionising Radiation Protection Act No 16 of 2005 as amended by the Ionising Radiation Protection Act No. 19 of 2011. The mandate of the Authority is to protect the public, workers and the environment from hazards arising from the use of devices or materials capable of producing ionising radiation.
The Authority has a vacancy for the following position:
Driver (01) – Lusaka
GRADE: RPA 09
Job Objective
To drive the Authority vehicles in a safe manner in order to transport staff, goods and materials as directed.

Main Accountabilities
• To compile all defects of motor vehicles and report to supervisor to facilitate repairs to avoid more damages to Authority’s motor vehicles.
• To make sure that the assigned motor vehicle is kept clean at all times to maintain good image of the Radiation Protection Authority
• To ensure that the assigned motor vehicle is properly routinely checked for oil, water, road license, vehicle fitness, brakes, lights etc. and to make sure that the motor vehicle is kept in roadworthy condition.
• To make sure that any road traffic accidents are reported to Zambia Police and supervisor. To comply with the law of the land to facilitate insurance claims as per the Radiation Protection Authority’s procedures.

Required Qualifications
1. Full grade twelve (12) Certificate of Education with English
2. Class C1 or higher clean and valid driving license
3. Mechanic from a reputable organisation will be an added advantage
4. Computer literate will be an added advantage
5. Pleasant interpersonal skills
6. Minimum of three (3) years working experience as a driver
7. Must be between 30 and 45 of age
