EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL JOB ADVERT
Manyinga Town Council wishes to invite applications from suitably qualified, energetic, and dedicated individuals to fill the position of Driver (02 Vacancies) on a contractual basis .
Position: Driver (02 Positions)
Salary Scale: LGSS/14
Organisation: Manyinga Town Council
Location: Manyinga, North-Western Province, Zambia
Employment Type: Contractual Basis
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safely operating Council utility and official vehicles in carrying out municipal assignments and civic duties.
- Transporting Council personnel, civic leaders, materials, and equipment punctually and securely to designated destinations.
- Conducting regular pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (checking oil levels, coolant, tyres, brakes, and lights).
- Maintaining accurate vehicle logbooks, mileage records, fuel receipts, and trip authorisations.
- Ensuring the cleanliness, general serviceability, and routine maintenance of assigned Council vehicles.
- Complying strictly with road traffic regulations, safety standards, and local authority vehicle policies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must have a full Grade 12 Certificate .
- Must be 21 years and above but below 45 years of age.
- Must be a holder of a green National Registration Card (N.R.C.) .
- Must have a valid Class CE driver’s license .
- Must be of sober (mind) character and high integrity.
- Mechanical knowledge will be an added advantage.
