Invitation for tender: Construction of a foot bridge across Mulungushi River at Liteta Community in Chimika ward at Luano Town Council Ministry of Local Government & Rural Development

LUANO TOWN COUNCIL received funds from the Government of the Republic of Zambia for the implementation of projects under the 2022 Constituency Development Funds (CDF) and it intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments, under the Contract for the construction of a foot bridge across Mulungushi River at Liteta Community in Chimika Ward. Therefore, Luano Town Council is inviting sealed bids from eligible Bidders to obtain bids and apply for the execution of stated works.

Interested bidders with NCC Category R and Grade 4 or 5 may check and obtain bidding documents from the Procurement and Supplies Unit at the Luano Town Council Offices (at Old Mkushi) from Wednesday 15th March, 2023 upon payment of a non-refundable fee of K500.00 which can either be paid in cash at the Finance Office or deposited in Bank: ZANACO Mkushi Branch, Mkushi South CDF Account, A/C No. 2008534300275, Sort Code 012309, Swift Code ZNCOXMLU.

Submission Procedure

Bound and sealed bids in envelopes clearly marked with project and contractor's name must be addressed to the Council Secretary, Luano Town Council, P.O. Box 840208, Mkushi and must be submitted and deposited in the TENDER BOX at Luano Town Council Offices (Old Mkushi) from Wednesday 15th March, 2023 to Wednesday 12th April, 2023 at 15:00hours local time. The bids will be opened immediately after closing the submissions in the Council Chamber at the Luano Town Council offices in the presence of bidders or their representatives.

The method of procurement being applied is Open National Bidding in line with Section No. 39 (2) of the Zambia Public Procurement Act No. 8 of 2020 and is restricted to Citizen Bidders only.

Bidders MUST attend the site visit at their own cost on Wednesday 22nd March 2023 and Pre-Bid meeting "shall" take place on the same date.

Note that the project site is in the Luano valley near Rufusa District. Hence, the meeting point is Chongwe Municipal Council at 07:00hours on Wednesday 22nd March 2023 thereafter all present shall be guided on the day's line of activities.
