1. Position: Business Development Manager – Data Centre

The position shall take responsibility of business development activities specific to growing the customer base through direct customer engagements, proposal preparation following through to closure of the Data Centre services portfolio. RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The duties of the role will include but are not restricted to:

 

  • Identify and engage prospective new customers that would be an ideal audience for the Data Centre portfolio.
  • Be responsible for new business pitches, proposal creation and customer presentations aiding the sales process.
  • Manage the documentation and contracting for new customer on-boarding.
  • Client account management including opportunity generation and aggressive follow-through.
  • Management of the sales process right from lead generation to quoting to order closure.
  • Take lead in managing the various marketing initiatives for the Data Centre services portfolio including Colocation, Cloud Services, Hosted Services and Security Operations Centre services.
  • Focus on client management and development existing client relationships for growth.
  • Prepare tenders and responses to Requests for Proposals’ according to customer requirements and provisions of the RFPs.
  • Work closely with the technical & technology teams in proposing relevant solutions and architecture for customers.
  • Be involved in product design, customer roadmaps and service integration to ensure resulting success in the process.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or related fields;
  • MUST have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Corporate sales, pre sales role with system integration and business development of Information Communications Technology products and services;
  • A minimum of 2 Years in Key Account Management or Customer Relationship Management;
  • Strong sales aptitude and negotiation skills;
  • Strong account management and relationship building skills;
  • Experience of managing large accounts at a large Corporate level;
  • Focused, accountable, responsible and committed to success;
  • Excellent working knowledge of CRM systems, MS Office – Word, Excel & PowerPoint;

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The duties of the role will include but are not restricted to:

 

  • Identify and prospect new opportunities that would demand products and services of the Software Solutions portfolio;
  • Prepare customers for presentations and proposals for products and or services in the ERP and HR stable of products;
  • Run demonstrations of product capability and features to prospective and existing customers;
  • Lead the sales process including negotiations and contracting to opportunities identified are materialized into sales;
  • Work with Software Solutions technology teams in preparing relevant documentation pertaining to demonstrations and or proposals for the purposes of establishing the ideal methodology, solution and commercials for identified services and offerings to the customer;
  • Be responsible for account development plans for named accounts of new and existing customers;
  • Take ownership and ensure attainment of the commercial targets set out quarterly and annually;
  • Work with the Head – Software Solutions in assisting with the overall planning, strategy, direction and growth of the business function;
  • Manage the contracting process with customers while working with the team to ensure the deliverables committed to align with customer expectations and are fully documented;
  • Establish contacts and building positive relationships/networks with senior level decision makers of the relevant Industry and its environment; and
  • Document and report on sales pipeline including timely submission of weekly & monthly reporting.

The position will directly mange customer queries and support requests during and post-implementation of Sage ERP solutions including Sage 300ERP & Sage 200ERP (Evolution). RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The duties of the role will include but are not restricted to:

 

  • Support and implement ERP solutions specifically the Sage ERP suite of products under the Software Solutions Division;
  • Provide support to existing customers that may require training assistance or functional assistance in the day-to-day operations of their Sage ERP system;
  • Implementation of the various core financial modules including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory Control, Point of Sale and Reporting in line with signed-off project plan;
  • Support and implement NetOne’s NPOS solution for external customers including providing necessary post-implementation support or training;
  • Document project requirements including preparation of Functional Specification documents, update project status and keep project managers appropriately informed on project requirements, status and progress.
  • Implementation of ERP modules at client sites and update clients on specific changes or upgrades;
  • Support both internal and external training requirements on end-user functionality, operational processes and system reporting;
  • Support Commercial teams in the sales process by aiding in preparing and performing client demonstrations and presentations; and
  • Ensure adherence to SLA’s with customers by providing prompt and professional support;
  • Adhere to internal reporting frameworks for prompt and accurate reporting of project status, support call-status and weekly progress reports.

  • Must have good knowledge of accounting principles, ERP systems functionality, Microsoft SQL and basic networking principles;
  • If not Certified, will be required to undergo Sage ERP certifications;
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and manage multiply customer projects simultaneously;
  • Must poses a high level of energy, drive, intellect, enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment; including the ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment;
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written;
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and customer representatives; and

  • Develop, write and manage reusable clean functional code in various programming languages and frameworks;
  • Create and manage databases and functional integration to various code;
  • Manage server environment including operating systems IIS and other services on Windows and Linux platforms;
  • Develop front end web-based applications and mobile applications;
  • Develop and enhance existing and new API frameworks for smooth and seamless cross-functional integrations;
  • Develop systems with core strong on UI/UX;
  • Develop and manage CMS framework;
  • Develop frontend products using languages (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, Bootstrap, CSS)
  • Support existing products within SLA;
  • Write high-quality reusable code to meet agreed functional deliverables;
  • Manage USSD integrations and develop additional USSD functionality;
  • Follow best practices for .Net coding;
  • Ensure development for superior performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications;
  • Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications;

The position will be required to handle all troubleshooting of computing devices, repair faulty devices and manage warranties including component replacements by following laid out procedures. Manage internal staff device troubleshoot, device management and device security including antivirus management.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for both internal and external customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email;
  • Repair faulty devices which include laptop computers, desktop computers, printers and or network devices;
  • Analyze and troubleshoot devices brought in for warranty related repairs to thoroughly assess the device and make appropriate recommendations for repair of the devices;
  • Replace faulty components on laptops, desktops and other computing devices as necessary in line with the laid out repair protocols;
  • Prepare Job Cards, Repair Orders and Parts Requisitions for all device repairs and or warranty works;
  • Document user requests and also update client trouble tickets with the current status of the issue;
  • Ensure trouble tickets raised by users through emails, telephones or in-person are properly documented;
  • Ensure to update tracker on all complaints raised including resolutions made to the complaints;
  • Report on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team;
  • Follow-up and update customer status and information pertaining to jobs on hand; and
  • Ensure adherence to reporting framework including weekly and monthly progress reports and job status.
