Paratus Zambia is looking for a Finance Manager based in Lusaka.

Job Overview:

To provide a full financial and management accounting service to the Company and to plan, direct and coordinate the organisation’s financial strategy in conjunction with the Executive Management Team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Collating, preparing, and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries, and financial statements
• Undertaking strategic analysis and assisting with strategic planning
• Undertaking research into factors affecting performance
• Controlling income, cash flow and expenditure
• Managing budgets
• Developing and managing financial systems/models
• Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met
• Liaising with managerial staff and other colleagues
• Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
• Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken
• Maintain the financial health of the organization
• Calculation and submission of Corporate and Provisional taxes
• Ensure compliance with tax acts
• Ensure successful completion of due diligence

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Accounting or ACCA /CIMA
• 2-3 years of working experience in producing management accounts for large corporate
• Experience in VAT, employees’ tax, import duties, corporate tax, Provisional tax, WHT, Excise duty
• Advanced MS Excel & Word
• Telecoms industry experience is an advantage
• Accurate, self-motivated, and disciplined
• Registered member of ZICA
