Lorimak Africa is seeking a skilled, reliable, and professional Chef to prepare daily meals for a private household in Harare. Experience across different cuisines is essential; knowledge of Indian cuisine is a strong advantage.

Position: Chef (Private Household)
Location: Harare, Zimbabwe
Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the household.
• Prepare local, continental, and Indian dishes to high culinary standards.
• Tailor nutritious meals to the family’s preferences and dietary requirements (low-calorie, high-protein, and balanced meals).
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and strict food hygiene and safety standards.
• Shop for groceries, monitor stock levels, and minimize food waste.
• Cater for small family events and hosting guests when required.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Professional Cookery, Food Preparation, or Culinary Arts.
• 5 O’ Level subjects, including English.
• Valid food handling or hygiene certificate.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Chef, Cook, or similar culinary role.
• Ability to prepare low-calorie, high-protein, and balanced meals.
• Comprehensive knowledge of different cooking methods and diverse cuisines.
• Indian cuisine experience (curries, biryani, chapati) is an added advantage.
• Ability to follow dietary requirements and family preferences diligently.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Trustworthy, clean, professional, and able to work independently.
