SECURITY GUARD
Job Purpose
To protect guests, staff, premises, property and assets by maintaining a safe and secure environment at all times.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor access to the premises and control entry and exit.
- Verify visitors, staff and authorised persons.
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas.
- Monitor CCTV and security systems where applicable.
- Protect company property, equipment and guest belongings.
- Maintain security and occurrence-book records.
- Report suspicious activities, incidents and security risks immediately.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and security incidents.
- Assist guests and staff in a professional and respectful manner.
- Enforce security procedures without compromising customer service.
- Monitor deliveries and movement of goods where required.
- Ensure gates, doors and restricted areas are properly secured.
- Cooperate with police, emergency services and management when necessary.
- Maintain a professional appearance and remain alert throughout duty periods.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum secondary education.
- Previous security experience is an advantage.
- Security training/certification is preferred.
- Physically fit and able to work shifts.
