- Director – Investments and Finance
- JOB PURPOSE / DESCRIPTION
- Being a strategic role player in the overall Management of the Corporation the Job holder will be responsible for ensuring that the Corporation achieves Financial sustainability by reducing debt to sustainable levels, improve cash flows, working capital and achieve operational cost efficiency.
- QUALIFICATIONS
- • Full Grade 12 School Certificate. • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ACCA/CIMA/ZICA or other relevant Qualifications strongly preferred in Accounting, vetted by the appointing authority. • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance. • At least 15 years post-qualifying ACCA/CIMA and ZICA (or equivalent) experience, 10 of which should be successful experience at the level of Chief Finance Officer. • Over 10 years post-qualifying experience as Fellow of ACCA/CIMA/ZICA. • Must posses a valid ZICA Membership.
- EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENT
- • Experience in the Energy Sector will be an added advantage. • Must have been exposed to Boardroom dynamics at Committee and Board level • Must have experience in debt restructuring with Financial institutions. • Demonstrate experience of having managed annual revenues of over ZMW 20 Billion. • Show experience and exposure in dealings with investors, local and International, and Mobilization of Financial resources. • Experience in collaboration with the Government of the Republic of Zambia, through its various Ministries.
- JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- • Oversee the Strategic Financial Planning of the Corporation and constantly evaluate its performance, and potential financial risks. • Ensure timely availability and achievement of the Corporation’s Strategy, Plans and Budgets. • Maintain stewardship for financial assets and debt, including overall leadership of cash and debt management. • Oversee timely formulation of Financial and Management Accounts. • Ensure timely availability of and compliance with financial Policies, Procedures and Standards. • Provide effective Financial risk management. • Performing appropriate due diligence to substantiate the long-term value of investments, and confirm that investments are consistent with plans and investment guidelines. • Coordinating and interfacing with external auditors, investors, and other stakeholders.
