JOB DETAILS:
Gomes Haulage Limited, a Construction, Transport and Logistics Company based in Ndola, is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following vacant position:
POSITION: ACCOUNTANT – (1 POSITION)
Location: Ndola
JOB PURPOSE:
To manage the financial operations of the company, ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements and provide financial advisory support to management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, financial statements and cash flow projections.
- Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger reconciliations.
- Budget preparation, monitoring and variance analysis.
- Ensuring compliance with ZRA tax regulations (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, Withholding Tax).
- Managing payroll processing and NAPSA/NHIMA contributions.
- Handling bank reconciliations and treasury management.
- Liaising with external auditors, ZRA and other regulatory bodies.
- Maintaining proper books of accounts and filing systems.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Degree in Accounting / Finance OR Full ACCA / CIMA / ZICA Professional Qualification (Mandatory).
- Minimum 2-3 years proven work experience.
- Must be a member of ZICA.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Pastel or similar) and Advanced Excel.
- Knowledge of Zambian Taxation Laws.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.
