Job Purpose
Responsible for ensuring that projects are executed according to contract specifications and that deliverables are within time schedule, quality, scope and budget.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Manage the implementation of project.
- Ensure on-time (speedy) roll out
- Ensure quality workmanship on installations.
- Efficient project scope Management
- Execution of Project Implementation Plans
- Plan and schedule project timelines, track projectdeliverables using appropriate tools.
- Provide direction and support to project teams.
Risk & quality Management
- Procurement & Change Management
- Acceptance Testing and System KPIs
- Plan and execute acceptance tests
- Identify critical system KPIs and ensure trending foracceptance
Reporting
- Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project toall stakeholders, present reports defining project progress, problems andsolutions Resource and Cost Management
- Manage & document contractor and in-house meetings
Cost Management/Budget
- Manage the project expenditure to within the budget
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Diploma in Telecommunications/Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering orequivalent
Project Management qualificationdesirable
Member of a professional body inZambia e.g. EIZ/ICTAZ
3 years of project managementpreferably in telecoms industry
Competencies required for this Role
- Knowledge of project management tools & techniques, contract management, transmission & radio access evolution paths, ICT service portfolio & market segmentation
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word,Excel and PowerPoint), MS Project (or equivalent) and SharePoint is required
- Identifies problems/issues.
- Strength in Commissioning, installation of telecom related works
- Strength in quality inspection andsite Audits and supervision
- Solves non-routine problems by independently applying judgment to established analysis and standard approaches.
- Integrates/evaluates multiple factors to develop creative practical solutions.
