Job Purpose:
Will be responsible for inspecting, monitoring, analysing and proposing measures to correct or improve the company’s products and processes in order to meet established quality assurance systems. Key Responsibilities & Critical Success Measures
Ensure inspection, analysis and monitoring of products from farms, warehouse, incoming raw materials, market samples and all other sampling points are done as per SOPs and lab analyses performed using fundamental laboratory techniques and practices.
• Relevant apparatus, equipment and reagents are prepared as per SOPs.
• Accurate results are recorded and reported as per standard manuals.
• Non-conformances identified and reporting procedure adhered to
• Handling customer complaints by doing all required tests to verify authenticity of the complaints
• Enforcing the use of prepared SOPs for laboratory and production.
• Ensure that factory, distribution trucks temperatures and sanitation are monitored and communicated to everyone concerned as per SOPs.
• Maintaining all QA documentation.
• Maintain an up-to-date laboratory and production equipment calibration schedule according to SOP, calibration records available and updated.
• Conduct regular audits of calibration procedures of production teams and communicating results.
• Conduct required and requested quality audits, completing the appropriate documentation and communicating the results.
• Review quality analysis procedures of Production teams, identifying problems and communicating these to Quality Assurance Manager.
• Conduct audits of analytical procedures to ensure compliance with guidelines, and identifying corrective actions required.

Qualifications
• Grade twelve school certificates.
• Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology/Food Science/Chemistry/Microbiology or any relevant Science course.
• Excel Skills essential
• Minimum work experience: 2 years
