Company Description Midlands Brewery Limited is a leading beverage manufacturing company and producer of Lusaka Beer, a well-established market-leading brand. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to lead our production and packaging operations.

Role Description The Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Lusaka Province, Zambia. This role is responsible for overseeing daily production and packaging activities, including planning and scheduling brewing, packaging, and maintenance operations to meet quality, safety, and volume targets. The Production Manager coordinates and supervises production staff, monitors equipment performance, and ensures adherence to health, safety, and regulatory standards. The role also involves maintaining accurate production records, and collaborating with procurement, engineering, and sales to ensure material availability, equipment reliability, and alignment with market demand. The Production Manager is expected to continuously improve processes, manage costs, and support training and development of the production team.

Qualifications

• Strong production management and operations planning skills, with experience supervising teams in a manufacturing or brewing environment.
• Knowledge of quality control, health and safety regulations, and compliance standards in food and beverage production.
• Skills in workflow optimization, process improvement, and basic maintenance coordination for production equipment.
• Competence in data analysis, production reporting, and use of relevant manufacturing software or ERP systems.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to train and motivate diverse teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Food Science, Brewing Technology, Production Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in beverage/FMCG manufacturing, with opaque beer production experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Lusaka Province, Zambia, and commit to full-time working hours, including occasional extended shifts as required by production demands.
