The Role
We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and qualified English & Civic Education Teacher to join our secondary faculty. The ideal candidate will bring strong subject knowledge, an engaging pedagogical approach, and a proven track record of integrating Global Perspectives into the curriculum to foster critical thinking, global awareness, and responsible citizenship.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality English Language, Literature, and Civic Education lessons in alignment with both local and international curriculum standards.
- Facilitate Global Perspectives learning, guiding students through research, cross-cultural analysis, and critical reflection on contemporary global issues.
- Design engaging, student-centered lesson plans, assessments, and learning resources.
- Monitor, record, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to learners and parents.
- Actively contribute to school life, co-curricular activities, and the wider Enko Education community.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Majoring in English and/or Civic Education, or a closely related field) from a recognised university.
- Professional Registration: Must be a registered member of the Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) with a valid practising licence.
- Experience:
- Proven experience teaching English and Civic Education at the secondary school level.
- Demonstrated experience delivering Global Perspectives (e.g., Cambridge IGCSE Global Perspectives or similar international frameworks) is strongly preferred.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication in English, strong classroom management, proficient ICT skills, and a commitment to modern teaching methodologies.
