JOB DETAILS:
Varun Beverages Zambia Ltd a leading Beverage manufacturing company situated at plot No. 37426, Mungwi Road in Heavy Industrial Area, Lusaka is URGENTLY looking to recruit suitably qualified individual to fill the position of Operators.
Department : Production – Beverage
Reporting to: Production Manager -Beverage
Operators x 8

JOB SUMMARY/ DESIRED QUALIFICATION AND KNOWLEDGE:
1. Will be responsible to ensure that all production equipment, infrastructure, fixtures and all other equipment is in good operating condition and well maintained in terms of mechanical issues.
2. Will also do fault analysis and repairs in case of malfunction.
3. Perform fault finding of production equipment including utilities and execute repair of breakdowns.
4. Able to work independently.
5. Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
6. Control and adjust machine settings (e.g speed)
7. Feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines
8. Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
9. Fix issues that might occur during the shift
10. Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
11. Test operations of machines periodically
12. Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
13. Maintain activity logs
14. Maintaining production equipment by cleaning, inspecting, repairing and replacing parts such as bearings or belts as needed
15. +1 year experience working as an Industrial Operator in manufacturing industry.

Must have a minimum of a Diploma/Degree in Mechanics or any other related qualification from a recognised institution of learning.
