A reputable manufacturing company based in Lusaka, Zambia, is seeking skilled and precision-oriented Welders to join our maintenance and fabrication engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform arc, MIG, and TIG welding for plant equipment repairs, structural fabrications, frames, conveyors, and metal modifications.
• Interpret mechanical fabrication drawings, blueprints, and weld specifications accurately.
• Cut, shape, bend, and fit metal components using grinders, plasma cutters, and torches.
• Assist the maintenance department with plant preventive maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs.
• Maintain welding tools, PPE, gas cylinders, and ensure a fire-safe working environment at all times.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Craft Certificate or Trade Test in Metal Fabrication / Welding from a recognized technical institution (TEVETA-accredited).
• Minimum of two (2) years of practical welding and metal fabrication work experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Past experience in the corrugated carton industry will be an added advantage.
• High precision, strong safety awareness, and ability to troubleshoot mechanical wear-and-tear.
