Maamba Energy Limited is inviting applications from dynamic, suitably qualified, and experienced individuals to fill the vacant position of Science Teacher (Biology & Chemistry) at Maamba Private School.

Key Responsibilities:

• Effective preparation of schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching records in order to facilitate structured delivery of science curricula.
• Mobilization and timely provision of teaching/learning materials, laboratory apparatus, and practical specimens in order to enhance knowledge imparting.
• Effectively carry out the teaching of secondary school science lessons specializing in Biology and Chemistry.
• Undertake timely preparation and maintenance of teaching records to evaluate continuous syllabus coverage.
• Undertake effective invigilation, assessment administration, and marking in order to accurately monitor and evaluate pupil academic performance.
• Effectively supervise pupils in classrooms and science laboratories to maintain a safe, disciplined, and productive learning environment.
• Participate actively in school extracurricular activities and departmental meetings.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Full Grade 12 Certificate with five (5) O-Level Credits or better (including English and Mathematics).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Education (with a major/subject combination in Biology and Chemistry ) from a recognized university.
• Valid professional registration with the Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) with a current Practicing Certificate.
• Familiar with the 2023 Zambia Education Curriculum Framework .
• Must be fully computer literate (MS Office, e-learning tools).
• A minimum of three (3) years’ proven teaching experience as a teacher of science.
