DMS HR Consultancy is recruiting qualified, dynamic, and experienced professionals on behalf of our esteemed Client across various key sectors.

Position: General Manager – Exploration (1 Position)
Location: Lusaka / Exploration Sites, Zambia
Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Overview:

The General Manager – Exploration will provide strategic leadership, executive oversight, and technical direction for mining and geological exploration operations, resource modeling, drilling campaigns, and team management across exploration tenements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, plan, and direct geological and mineral exploration programs from greenfield target generation to advanced resource definition.
• Oversee resource estimation, geological modeling, mapping, sampling, and drilling operations.
• Manage multidisciplinary technical teams (geologists, surveyors, drilling contractors, and support staff).
• Ensure full compliance with statutory mining, environmental regulations, and health & safety standards.
• Formulate exploration budgets, manage capital expenditure, and deliver regular technical reports to executive leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Mandatory: Full Grade 12 Certificate with minimum 5 O-Level Passes (including English).
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Geology / Earth Sciences from a recognised university.
• Experience: 8+ Years in Mining / Geological Exploration operations & leadership .
• Professional Membership: Active Membership with EIZ / ERB / relevant Professional Geological Body .
• Demonstrated strategic leadership, project execution, and financial acumen.
