Position: Mechanical Fitter – Fresh Graduate
Company: Trade Kings Limited
Location: Lusaka, Zambia
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Purpose:

To support the engineering and maintenance team in installing, inspecting, servicing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment while developing practical industrial skills under the guidance of experienced engineers, technicians, and supervisors.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, assembly, dismantling, overhaul, and repair of mechanical equipment and plant machinery.
• Participate in preventive maintenance routines according to approved maintenance schedules.
• Support senior artisans in identifying and reporting mechanical faults and equipment anomalies.
• Assist in replacing worn-out mechanical parts under appropriate supervision.
• Assist senior fitters and engineers in equipment alignment, calibration, adjustment, and load testing.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and document completed maintenance tasks.
• Participate in technical training and continuous operational improvement activities.
• Report equipment defects, unsafe workshop conditions, and technical challenges promptly to supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma or recognized Trade Qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Applicants who have recently completed their training and have limited or no formal work experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of mechanical components, maintenance principles, and workshop safety practices.
• High willingness to learn, receive technical guidance, and develop hands-on industrial skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy industrial manufacturing environment.
