Job Description
Founding Head of the Northrise School of Engineering
Northrise University, the first private university in Zambia, is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity to an individual prepared to lead in the development and growth of our new Northrise University School of Engineering.
As we continue to expand our academic programs, we are introducing the Northrise School of Engineering, with the first intake scheduled for August 2024. The initial program will focus on civil engineering, with additional specialties to be developed in the future. The Founding Head will be a member of the School of Engineering Development Team and work with other engineering leaders from Zambia and the U.S. to build and introduce one of the best engineering programs in southern Africa. The Head of the School of Engineering will significantly influence the program’s development and accreditation, hiring of faculty and staff, recruitment of students, and project development.
Northrise University is committed to developing Christ-centered dedicated professionals and engaged global citizens devoted to the spiritual and economic transformation of Zambia and Africa. This includes a strong emphasis on creating hands-on engineering project opportunities as part of the program and developing an entrepreneurial spirit in our students and graduates. As a Christ-centered university, Northrise University is committed to equipping its students to become highly skilled and value-driven professionals and respected marketplace leaders creating lasting impact. By providing learning opportunities that enhance critical thinking, discipline, personal responsibility, character development, entrepreneurship, and sacrifice, students and faculty are inspired to achieve excellence.
Leveraging synergies with other academic programs, committed venture capitalists, and local markets, participation in entrepreneurial business ventures beyond student graduation is also a future opportunity.
