Background
Energy China is inviting applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and highly motivated Zambian professionals to join our Sesheke Solar Power Project. We are seeking technically competent professionals who can operate effectively within a major international engineering and construction environment and who demonstrate a strong commitment to professional integrity, safety, quality, environmental responsibility, regulatory compliance, and project delivery excellence. The successful candidates will work closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Client, Consulting Engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and other technical disciplines to ensure that project activities are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with approved designs, specifications, and applicable Zambian laws and standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Candidates must be appropriately registered with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) and hold a valid current EIZ practising certificate/licence authorising them to practise in the relevant engineering field.
- Candidates whose practising licences have expired, been suspended, or do not cover the relevant field will not be considered for appointment to a position requiring professional engineering practice.
- Experience working with contractors, consultants, and clients on major projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is an advantage.
- Strong technical reporting and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound professional engineering decisions.
- Willingness to live and work at the Sesheke project site on a long-term basis.
