Key Responsibilities of the Funds Finance Officer

• Process pension transactions accurately within the accounting system and perform timely bank reconciliations.
• Conduct financial analysis to assess pension scheme performance.
• Ensure prompt submission of high-quality quarterly statutory returns to regulatory authorities.
• Provide sound technical advice to the Board of Trustees on financial and investment matters related to pension fund operations.
• Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, budgets, and statements to the Board of Trustees.
• Review investment portfolios of client funds to ensure compliance with regulations and scheme investment policies.

Qualifications and Competencies Required

• Full Grade 12 certificate with at least five credits at ‘O’ level.
• Degree in Accountancy or professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, or CIMA.
• Two to four years of relevant accounting experience.
• Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent customer relations.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications; experience with SAGE accounting software is an advantage.
• Valid ZAQA certification for all qualifications.
