Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage premium, claims, commission, and treaty accounting processes.
- Maintain bordereaux, financial reconciliations, and client-money control records.
- Process settlements and manage Insurance Broking Account (IBA) and other fiduciary accounts.
- Liaise with brokers, clients, and reinsurers to resolve accounting and financial queries.
- Monitor financial transactions and ensure accurate recording of reinsurance-related payments.
- Support external audits and the preparation of regulatory financial reports for the Pensions and Insurance Authority (PIA).
- Ensure proper financial documentation and compliance with applicable accounting and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years' reinsurance or insurance technical accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Insurance Broking Accounts (IBA), client-money management, and reinsurance accounting.
- Accounting qualification such as ZICA, ACCA, or CIMA is strongly preferred.
- Full Grade 12 certificate with credits in English and Mathematics.
