Job Purpose

To undertake routine analysis on plant samples and Mining samples at Mabiza Resources Limited, following laid down procedures. Supervise the analysis team and be in charge of QAQC.

Qualifications And Skills

Must be a Zambian national

Science Degree with Chemistry major preferably analytical chemistry

5 Years Minimum Experience Dealing With Base Metals

Age – 25 and above Prior knowledge of AAS/XRF application in a mining lab

Familiarity with OHSA/ISO 90001/ ISO17025 system standards and proven record in QAQC

Basics Computer skills

Valid Driver’s licence

Ability to work under pressure

Highly motivated and flexible

Proven organisational skills and a team player

Safety conscious

Responsibilities

Oversee all laboratory work and analyses

Ensure the appropriate use of laboratory equipment

Ensure samples are analysed in a timely manner and according to procedure

Preparation of all sample reports

Supervision of samplers and lab technicians

Reporting

Report directly to Laboratory Manager
