We are looking for a School Improvement Coordinator- Officer Level to join us in making our mission a reality.
As School Improvement Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating PEAS’ technical assistance pilot by overseeing School Improvement Leads’ delivery of support to government and community primary schools near PEAS schools to drive quality improvements, providing some direct support to primary school leaders and designing and developing tools and training to enable high quality support. This exciting role will be instrumental in launching the technical assistance pilot and overseeing its success. You will lead the design and development of tools and training to be used in the pilot, as well as supporting School Improvement Leads to build relationships with primary school leaders, assess schools’ strengths and areas for development and coach school leaders and staff to develop and implement School Improvement Plans. You will provide some direct support to primary school, either in collaboration with School Improvement Leads or independently. You will also be responsible for collating data from School Improvement Leads and your own visits to primary schools and sharing this with the wider team to ensure we can adapt and improve our approach during the pilot to inform further roll out. We are looking for someone who has strong people skills, able to quickly develop working relationships with PEAS staff, external stakeholders and school staff in government and community schools. They will be able to communicate clearly and motivate others, providing credible advice and coaching support to both School Improvement Leads to help them be successful and primary school leaders. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, school leadership positions, and an understanding of both the primary and secondary education sectors.
The School Improvement Coordinator will be based in PEAS office in Kasama, Northern Province, but will spend a large portion of their time travelling to local partner primary schools to support others to drive results. You will be part of a hard- working, growing and highly effective team who support one another to deliver impact.
