The Mission of the Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited (LWSC) is to provide quality water and sanitation services to customers in Lusaka Province at a commercially and environmentally sustainable manner. In order to achieve this, the Company must ensure that staff with the right knowledge, skills and abilities are available as required. LWSC now seeks to recruit dynamic and energetic persons who are performance driven, and invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced Zambians. The successful candidates should be prepared to work under water supply or sewerage services and to be based in any of the LWSC operating districts which include Luangwa, Chirundu, Chilanga, Lusaka, Kafue, and Chongwe.

3.0 Job Purpose
The Plant Operator will be reporting to the Superintendent and will be responsible for operating the pumping station, carrying out water/ sewage treatment, monitoring reservoir water levels, ensuring the efficient performance of the plant, checking pressures for water/ sewer flows, as well as performing housekeeping of the workstation.
4.0 Qualifications and Experience
- School Certificate or General Certificate in Education
- Craft Certificate in Water Supply Operations
- One (1) year relevant work experience in a water or sewage treatment plant, or water distribution centre
5.0 Behaviour Qualities
- Good Communication Skills
- Achievement oriented
- Ability to work under pressure
