Our Client seeks an Operations Administrator / Assistant Accountant to ensure all administrational aspects of operations processes are efficiently executed

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Conduct Bank Reconciliations on daily basis i.e. reconcile the cashbook against the bank statement
  • Prepare and execute banking for all cheques and cash.
  • Review and act as second checker for all Warehouse invoices for pricing correctness and quantities invoiced against customer orders.
  • Reconcile and balance off all sales daily.
  • Receives and records all cash payments issuing receipts for all transactions.
  • Conduct monthly audit all cash receipt books issued to the sales team and report to management for any non-compliances.
  • Debrief all invoices and ensure to ensure all debriefing is complete
  • Ensures timely collection of cash or cheques for all COD deliveries by regular review of AR aging and following up on payments. Report any failed COD collections to GM
  • Manage petty cash
  • Assist in attending to all queries from creditors department and sales reps.
  • Process GRVs for imported products in SYSPRO
  • Collate and forward GRTS raised on imports to AP
  • Prepare documentation for all supplier/creditors payments
  • Ensure that creditors cheques are signed
  • Notify suppliers of cheques for collection
  • Make out cashbook cheques
  • Prepare VAT documentation and make sure it’s timely submitted
  • Perform audit control processes
  • Ensure that all invoices and credit notes are scanned daily

Minimum Accounting technician/Diploma; Degree or professional accounting qualification an added advantage

Computer literate (Syspro 6, MS Office/ Q Docs)
