Key Account Manager (AM) Zambia

The role is for an international Fintech Company targeting the Zambian agricultural sector. The company is new to the country with a strong Start up dynamic. The position has a great potential for growth developing into a management position.

Requirements :

  • Strong client relationship abilities
  • Sales experience and ability to up and cross sell within existing clients and bringing on board new opportunities
  • Must have experience and be willing to travel to rural farming communities to assist with on-site training of solutions
  • Manage the implementation and deployment of products, services and solutions to all customers
  • Agricultural sector experience
  • Banking sector experience (not mandatory)
  • Technical sales experience (not mandatory)

  • Managing the countries on-the-ground operations (with support from the VP Africa)
  • Provide support both to our clients (financial institutions, governments, etc.) and our end-users (Agribusinesses, farmers, etc.) such as training, field assistance, demonstrations
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and understand the ins and outs of the business operations and structure
  • Assist in generating and maintaining the growth curve of AGT
  • Identity areas of where AGT has the opportunity to cross and up sell
  • Create awareness of AGT solutions in the market where applicable
  • Ensure superior customer service is offered at all times to all levels of clients
  • Promptly identify and resolve problems directly impacting the client and escalate accordingly where required
  • Achieve monthly KPI’s and liaise with the AGT product department to ensure a seamless service to our clients and end-users.
  • Timely reporting to direct line manager, ie budgets, pipelines, client engagements
  • Group crunch sessions on how to maximize revenue potential
  • Assist with an annual country expansion plan
  • Penetration into new markets
  • Propose improvements to the in-country company strategic plans if required
