The Graphics Designer and Media Associate is responsible for the creation of a wide variety of graphics, multimedia content and other productions to communicate Northrise University’s image and messages to internal and external NU stakeholders. Responsibilities include conceptualization, design and development of high impact graphic elements, promotional items, special-event material, brochures and adverts, along with ensuring the University’s social media platforms are regularly updated and creatively utilized to effectively maximize the University’s online presence.
He/She is also responsible for administration of studio usage and maintenance of the media library for all graphics and motion assets for the Media and Communications Office. The Graphics Designer and Media Associate reports to the Media and Communications Manager and works with other personnel, including student volunteers, and interns in the Media and Communications Office
Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum of a Bachelor of Information Technology in Web and Software Development degree with a bias to a media related focus.
• 3+ years of experience of conceptualization, graphics design, photography, videography, and marketing and communication skills
• Strong visualization skills
• Strong communication skills in digital media
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Suite is an asset (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, Premiere or other video editing software)
• Impeccable grammar, spelling, punctuation and editing skills
• Excellent demonstrated project management skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and cross functionally
• Ability to be flexible due to changing priorities
