Job Description Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) has an opportunity for an E-Commerce Digital Manager who will be joining the Growth Office Team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Group Head of Still and E-Commerce. Coca-Cola Beverages Africa is the largest African Coca-Cola bottler, accounting for 40 percent of all Coca-Cola volumes on the continent. CCBA is a market leader in the NARTD (non-alcoholic ready to drink market) in Africa. CCBA has an extensive footprint in Africa, employing over 17 000 employees.
Key Duties & Responsibilities The successful incumbent will be responsible to implement a CCBA e-commerce strategy by connecting our customers and/or consumers through the most effective digital solutions suitable for CCBA markets. The primary focus on the implementation of the CCBA e-commerce Strategy driving expertise and support with in-county Commercial Heads. Business Development Driving digital transformation keeping in mind business development opportunities for CCBA. Partnering with The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) organization to understand impact strategies on a local level. Identifying CCBA-specific pain points and develop solution opportunities. Escalating challenge areas to the in-country Commercial leads for CCBA. Understanding the technology landscape with a focus on external partnership opportunities that are in line with the overarching CCBA strategy. Managing the CCBA E-Commerce strategy to understand progress to plan based on central targets (including KPIs, tracking, reporting and threshold for pausing or scaling pilots) Applying the correct E-Commerce vertical strategies such as Channel, Pure Play, Food Aggregators and enabling systems to the relevant market-place opportunities. The role will drive specific outputs pertaining to the following areas within the Route To Market Customer Service Policies (CSP) Business to Business Strategy Understanding CCBA E-Commerce strategy, and execution best practices from other Markets for lifting and shifting to other opportunity areas. Reviewing possible areas of innovation and needed support where the in-countries are struggling to deliver on B2B practices. Provide feedback to leadership on current B2B challenges and possible ways to exponentially accelerate digital transactions and develop new revenue streams. Collaborate with TCCC B2B team to understand how to scale possible B2B innovations. Execution Supporting in-country teams to localize suggested best practices for in market deployment. Overseeing execution on localized implementation plans through project management. Managing platform adoption and solution metrics through reporting of required metrics to all key stakeholders Working closely with the TCCC team to ensure global priorities are assessed and executed in line with CCBA strategy. Interacting, updating, and engaging with senior levels across the system. Distribution to Customer and Consumer (D2CC): Strategy Understanding CCBA strategy, and execution best practices to the local markets Reviewing possible areas of innovation/needed support where CCBA is struggling to deliver on D2CC Providing feedback to the Coca-Cola system on current D2CC challenges and possible ways to exponentially accelerate digital transactions and develop new revenue streams. Execution Overseeing CCBA related activities in the offline to online strategy. Localizing suggested CCBA strategy, and execution best practices Overseeing execution on localized implementation plans through project management. Managing platform adoption and solution metrics Continuously work with the route to market teams to improve cost to serve, but not sacrificing revenue growth targets. Governance Communicating with the organization to enable visibility and coordination across the groups Suggesting platform innovation on ways to fill local business opportunities. Ensuring CCBA strategies are executed and adapted to local market reality, including evaluating local partnerships that could drive new revenue streams. Reviewing platform adoption/solution metrics and hold execution team accountable for implementing CCBA organization’s suggested updates Supporting collection of the centrally defined data requirements and methods in conjunction with Platform Services to allow for data to be consolidated and used for tracking results and generating insights
Skills, Experience & Education Qualifications Minimum requirement: Bachelor’s Degree: Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain or Marketing Added advantage: Post Graduate Qualification: MBA or equivalent Experience 10+ years of leadership experience in Commercial, Marketing and E-Commerce 5+ years Business development and partnership experience evaluating new technology or product offerings Experience in B2B or with D2CC strategies (preferred) Strategic thinking, ability to articulate and build shared vision Demonstrated success leveraging data to drive business results Demonstrated ability to successfully working with senior leaders across a large enterprise Proven ability to drive metrics and benchmarks to ensure continuous improvement in process and results Strong ability to develop structured frameworks and approaches
