Admissions Coordinator

Job description

Develops external communications initiatives for the University on to support prospective student recruitment initiatives and current student retention efforts

Essential Job Functions

  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders and external vendors to create and implement traditional and digital communications plans to support admissions recruitment activities and current student retention initiatives for the University
  • Creates, edits and manages web, print, email and electronic communications for prospective students and current students
  • Collaborates with university communications to confirm that messages adhere to predefined branding and styling guidelines
  • Manages the University’s social media sites and online blog, monitoring content, creating awareness and promoting participation from students, faculty and staff
  • Manages information updates to the University’s website
  • Remains current with changing trends in digital communications and incorporates them into the University’s initiatives
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
  • Moderate amount of experience working in communications, higher education, marketing or in other related work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or greater in communications or a related field of study
  • Experience managing virtual events such as webinars (Zoom)
  • Experience with email marketing (Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
  • Experience with current and prospective student communications
  • Experience with social media management
