Job description:
Essential duties include ensuring the effective management (including travel logistics) of all incoming specialist medical referrals for local employees, around the country, according to established company protocols and parameters.
Key Responsibilities
• Facilitate booking of medical appointments by liaising with service agents, medical facilities and following the patient through the process to ensure all feedback is received
• Assist in scheduling and arranging patient transportation to and from appointments
• Act as the point of contact for patients regarding referral process and their medical itineraries
• Ensure medical reports, scripts and surgery recommendations are obtained in good time from medical specialist facilities and that they reports are circulated to the appropriate medical treatment team
• Maintain ongoing tracking for complete appropriate documentation on referrals.
• Establish and maintain relationships with identified service providers.
• Account reconciliation of all relevant facilities involved in the medical referral process.
• Travel logistics for medical staff and Health team members.

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma in business administration, health administration or personal assistant would be beneficial

Experience & Other requirements
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• High level of written and spoken English
• Good proficiency on computer is essential
• Detail orientated
• Good communication and people skills essential
• Be able to exercise discretion and tact in patient/staff interactions
• Reports to the patient logistics team leader.
