Reporting to the Regional Manager – Livingstone, the Licensing officer will undertake the licensing
of tourism enterprises in order to ensure compliance to statutory requirements and enhance
competitiveness in the industry.
Principle Accountabilities:

Undertakes regularly the conduct of research on regional tourism and related matters in order
to facilitate decision making -
Undertakes effectively the licensing of tourism enterprises in the region in order to ensure
compliance to statutory requirements -
Undertakes regularly the conduct of inspections of tourism enterprises in the region in order
to ensure compliance to standards and requirements -
Undertakes regularly the conduct of inspections of tourism enterprises in the region in order
to ensure compliance to standards and requirements -
Undertakes periodically the maintenance of the licensing database in order to facilitate
efficient storage and retrieval of information for decision making -
Undertakes regularly the conduct of tourism licensing and standards capacity building
programmes to tourism enterprises in the region in order to ensure adherence to standards
Qualifications and Personal attributes:
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism/Hospitality Management or equivalent
- Able to write technical and analytical report
- Able to communicate effectively in English
- Computer literate
- Interpersonal skills
- Research skills
