JOB DETAILS:

Job Purpose
Reporting to the Financial Controller, with dotted lines to the Chief Financial Officer. The Finance Records Officer is responsible for the key aspects of record management within the Finance Department. The key objective of this role is to develop and maintain a documents back-up system having digital storage of all paper documents in finance & accounting system with defined access controls for smooth retrieval and access internally and during statutory and ZRA VAT audits. The Finance Records Officer is responsible for evaluating existing document access and retrieval systems and coordinating the switchover from paper documentation to electronic record-keeping.

Duties and Responsibilities;
• Document verification for varying purposes, including the confirmation of the authenticity of receipts, vouchers and other standard documents and forms.
• Document archival to ensure all documents are scanned and properly refiled / archived.
• Perform accounting and finance activities as may be assigned by superiors from time to time.
• Any other duty as may be directed by your supervisor.


Key Requirements:
• Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with a minimum of 5 Credits.
• ZICA Technician Level or Diploma (DA) Level 1.
• Working knowledge of MS office.
• Working knowledge of a data management system will be an added advantage.
• Robust problem-solving skills, quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and produce quality results on time with attention to details in a high.

• Ability to work within a team and provide support to a cross-functional range of staff.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Demonstrable knowledge and synergy with IPA Value.
