Laboratory siting, borehole drilling and installation of solar powered submersible pumps at DAI

DAI, the implementer of the USAID funded Scaling Up Nutrition Technical Assistance (SUN TAI Proiect, invites qualified bidders to submit proposals for the proposed work described below. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to invite bidders who have demonstrated experience and expertise in the following works required for solar-powered water reticulation schemes:
Borehole Drilling using both percussion and mud-rotary methods Supply and installation of solar powered submersible pumps including photovoltaic panel arrays Civil construction of solar-powered water reticulation schemes including perimeter security fencing lighting, erection of elevated water tanks, construction of water points and water distribution pipelines.
Offerors in the form of individual companies or consortiums with drilling/solar/construction experience may apply, however must meet the following eligibility requirements:
Offeror must demonstrate experience in each of the above-mentioned categories Offeror must demonstrate implementation of minimum $150,000 USD per year aggregate value of construction contracts involving water distribution systems and erection of elevated tank stands and sectional tanks during each of the last 3 years Offeror must demonstrate implementation of minimum $150,000 USD per year aggregate value of construction contracts involving borehole drilling projects during each of the last 3 years Offeror must demonstrate at least 3 solar-powered pumping installations with a combined total of at least $50,000 USD during the last 3 years. Offerors must be Zambia-licensed and legally organized businesses, organizations, or firms. Individual consultants will not be considered for this RFP. Offerors must have all required licenses, permits, certificates and registrations including drilling, engineering, and business licenses. Borehole siting equipment Two functioning 4x4 or 6x6 mobile drill rigs with mobile compressors capable of achieving 100psi Jetting/Airlifting equipment and compressors Submersible Pumps and power generators
Borehole pump testing equipment 0 5,000litre water bowser
Diesel or electric powered concrete mixers of at least 1.5cubic meters capacity Poker vibrator and concrete finishing tools All necessary civil construction tools and equipment
